How can Christie David Immigration help you?
Skilled Migration allows people who hold occupations that are
in demand in Australia obtain permanent or temporary residence.
If you have a trade or profession
that you think may be in demand in
Australia please complete our Free Assessment Form.
You will then receive a response
from Christie David Immigration,
within 48 hours, advising you of
your prospects of migrating to
Australia.
Unlike other immigration firms, at
Christie David Immigration a
Registered Migration Agent will
personally assess your education and
work experience to determine whether
you satisfy not only immigration
law, but also the requirements of
the relevant skills assessment body
for your occupation. In most
instances the Registered Migration
Agent will ask you some further
information in order to ensure that
you will satisfy both the visa
criteria as well as the skills
assessment requirements.
Christie David Immigration will
provide you with confirmation of
your eligibility to apply for
skilled migration once we are
satisfied that you are able to meet
the criteria. In the event that you
do not meet the criteria, we will
advise you of other options in order
to apply for permanent residence in
Australia, which may include
completing further education or work
experience.
Skills
Assessment
In order to apply for permanent
residence as a skilled migrant an
Australian skills assessment
authority must determine that your
qualifications are comparable to
that of an Australian who holds the
same occupation. For example, in
the UK in order to be an Engineer,
in some instances, a person may have
completed a course at a Polytechnic
or completed an apprenticeship. In
Mexico, an Engineer may have
completed a Bachelors degree at a
University over five years of full
time study. In Australia, however,
an Engineer must have completed a
University Degree. The UK Engineer
who has completed an apprenticeship
would, in this case, not meet the
requirements for assessment as an
Engineer and the Engineer
from Mexico would most likely require additional
work experience as well as the
preparation of a detailed outline of
how their education relates to their
work experience in order to
demonstrate that they have undertaken education and work experience
comparable to that of an Australian
Engineer.
Christie David Immigration will
assess your individual education and
work experience against the
requirements of the relevant skills
assessment authority in order to
determine whether you will satisfy
their requirements.
Where you are required to provide a
letter to the skills assessment
authority regarding your education
and work experience, Christie David
Immigration will provide you with
guidelines and examples of how to
write this letter and will review it
prior to submitting it to the skills
assessment authority.
Visa Application
Once your skills assessment is
successful, Christie David
Immigration will then prepare a
detailed legal submission to the
Department of Immigration &
Citizenship. The submission will
address the legislation applicable
to your visa subclass and
demonstrate to the Department of
Immigration how you satisfy each
aspect of the visa criteria.
All skilled migration applications
are lodged at the General Skilled Migration processing centres in Australia. The processing time
changes from time to time, however,
in order to increase your chances of
obtaining the best possible
processing time Christie David
Immigration will ensure that your
application is submitted with
everything that the Department of
Immigration will require in the
first instance.
How can
Christie David Immigration help you?
In circumstances where you work in an
occupation that is comparable to
that of occupations in demand in Australia, you will berequired to satisfy both the Department of
Immigration and the skills assessment authority's criteria, which is often quite different. In some cases
although you may not be using your
education, it may be of assistance
in applying for a skilled visa.
The criteria for the skills
assessment requires more than simply
submitting a copy of your education
and work experience. There are
detailed requirements that must be
satisfied in order to demonstrate
that you have what the relevant
skills assessment authority
considers sufficient for skilled
migration purposes.
The Department of Immigration is
bound by legislation in determining whether you meet the
criteria for a skilled visa. The
Department of Immigration also
refers to policy and guidelines in
making its decision as to whether
you meet the criteria for the grant
of a skilled visa. The skills
assessment authority’s requirements
and the Department of Immigration’s
requirements are vastly different
and in most cases, applicants make
the error of following only the
forms that are provided on the
skills assessment authority or
Department of Immigration’s
websites. These forms do not
address the criteria of the
legislation, the policy and
guidelines that the Department of
Immigration must consider in making
its decision.
If you use Christie David
Immigration to assist you with your
skilled migration visa application
we will provide you with a detailed
checklist that outlines all of the
information and documentation you
must provide in order to satisfy the
legislation, policy and guidelines
by which the Department of
Immigration is bound. We will
provide you with guidelines for the
letters you must write to both
the skills assessment authority and
the Department of Immigration
regarding your education and work
experience as well as a list of all
the documents that the Department of
Immigration considers to be good
evidence of your skills. We request that you send us draft
versions of any letters to the
Department of Immigration or skills
assessment authority so that we may
review them and provide you with
feedback. It is also advisable to
stay in touch with us whilst you are
collecting your documentation. We
are always available to answer any
questions you may have, as basic as
they may seem to you they may be
quite significant in immigration
terms.
Once you have collected all of your
information and documentation we
will review it and when we are
satisfied that you have collected
sufficient evidence we will prepare
a detailed legal submission to the
Department of Immigration. The
legal submission demonstrates how
you meet the criteria for the grant
of the visa and addresses
immigration legislation, policy and
guidelines.
We will also complete your forms
electronically and you will need to
sign them before we finally submit
your application to the Department
of Immigration.
Our experience means that we know
what is required in order to obtain
a skilled migration visa and will
advise you accordingly whether you
are eligible to meet the criteria.
If you have a criminal record or an
adverse immigration record, we also
have the experience in making a
detailed legal submission on those
issues and will advise you
accordingly of your chances of
success in obtaining a skilled visa
subject to those issues.
The benefit of using Christie David
Immigration is that we will take the
stress out of the application
process for you. We understand the
criteria and will tell you what is
and is not required. Of course,
there will be some work involved in
collecting information and
documentation, but we provide you
with clear guidelines of what is
required and all you have to do is
provide that evidence to us. Together with our
legal submission you have the best
chances of success in obtaining your
skilled visa by using our services.

available, offering a personalised
